Action Group

BADTAG is a volunteer group. We go out and help the community.

YMT - We are a group of young people who manage youth orientated activities with the assistance of the Beenleigh PCYC.

We strive to create opportunities for youth in the community. BADTAG meet once a week to highlight and address the issues and concerns of youth within our community.

We are active members of the PCYC, volunteering our skills for community based projects and we have a high involvement in functions and discos.

WHY DOES BADTAG DO IT? To make a difference, take on new challenges, gain experience, be a voice for the youth of the community and have a great time doing it.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE PROJECT. This project involved the creation of 31,000 wristbands and key ring to create a ground swell of kindness - the fear being that people have forgotten how to be nice to each other.

RSL GRAFFITTI PROJECT. This project was designed to address grafitti. BADTAG met with Mr. Brush and his family and took on this project and painted an ocean themed mural on the fence.

FOSTER AND KINSHIP CARE WEEK FAMILY FUN DAY. BADTAG were successful in applying for a foster and care week grant to hold a fantasy themed family fun day for children affected by foster care.

RESTART PROJECT. This project came from a member of BADTAG who wanted to know what we could do to help kids who had been in trouble with the law.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARDS. This internationally renowned project involves community services, skills development and sport.
